Age requirements?
Due to the status of our liquor license, we are strictly 21 and over. Don’t give us a poor Yelp rating because you are not 21 and couldn’t get in. Please take any age restriction grievances up with the Local ABC Board or your City Counsel Member At Large.
Dress Code?
We are an upscale lounge. Our dress code prohibits men from wearing shorts, open-toed shoes, and athletic wear. Sneakers are acceptable only if limited edition. If you don’t know the difference ask yourself, “would I play ball in these?” If yes, then no… if no, then maybe. Ya dig?
Is there a cover / are there table minimums?
There is never a cover at Gazuza. We keep our promotions in-house and would rather you spend your money on our great drinks, hookah and sushi. We do maintain table minimums on Friday and Saturday night. The bar does not have a minimum to sit and enjoy, and yes you can get your hookah on bar-side. Minimums vary according to party size, but generally average around $25 per person, which actually comes out to just marginally less then a movie theater admission, popcorn and a soda… PLUS we have a DJ! Eat your heart out Regal Cinema!
What kind of music do you play?
Are there DJ’s? As the Jungle Brothers would say, “House music all night long, house music all night long”! Spinning Tuesday through Saturday we have some of the BEST and most TALENTED DJ’s this city has to offer. The music may delve occasionally into Funk, Bossa Nova, Trip Hop, Acid Jazz, and the occasional Underground Hip Hop or even Dubstep, but you will not hear Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas or T.I., so don’t bother asking. Hours of operation?
We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We may shut down for Christmas, Thanksgiving or the occasional blizzard, but you can always call and ask. Hours are as such:
Hours Kitchen Mon-Wed 5pm – 2am 5pm – 11pm Thurs 5pm – 2am 5pm – 12am Fri 5pm – 3am 5pm – 12am Sat 6pm – 3am 7pm – 12am Sun 6pm – 2am 7pm – 11pm Happy Hour Mon-Fri 5pm – 7pm We also wish we could stay and play till the sun rises, but the law says no! Please understand that when the end of the night arrives, the music stops and the lights go up… We are not kicking you out, just inviting you to go somewhere else.
Is there an ATM?
Not inside, but we are within a stone’s throw of 3.
Is there dancing?
Not in the typical sense. Our loungy vibe coupled with servers whisking hookahs topped with lit charcoal does not make for the best dance place. However, SEATED chair dancing is not just permitted… it’s encouraged!
Is this a gay bar?
Gazuza does not pigeonhole itself with labels for any group of people except those who enjoy our hookah, sushi, cocktail and house music culture. We welcome anyone over +21 in proper attire with a good attitude and a positive outlook on life!
